Campus Collaboration Partner
Our campus community partner is Monique Bernoudy. She is the Associate Athletics Director at NIU. Monique produces more diversity and collaboration within athletics on NIU's campus. Her main goal as the Associate Athletics director is to help students with athletics in all areas of life including in the classroom environment and the competitive environment as well.
Monique is passionate about all male and female sports and athletics. The operations of our Campus Community partner is to try educating our group, be positive and maintain a high level of energy in athletics. Outside of her role as our C/C Partner, she tries to do work in groups by maintaining enthusiasm in all sport teams to make the athletes feel comfortable and able to achieve their goals for the game. If she ever came across the problem like sexism then she is willing and able to come up with challenges and resolve them. If the problem is still crucial and she is unable to handle the severity of it on her own Monique has a committee that helps her come up with a game plan.
As our C/C Partner, Monique was intended to be used as a resource of extra knowledge and information on our topic. We asked her to be an authority figure for our project and to monitor our work and sign off on our action proposals. The C/C Partners were meant to serve and provide experiential work to improve our research. We could get real world problems and facts which athletes face today in terms of sexism.
